Responsibilities include:Maintain and repair motorized equipmentTest equipment Train custodial staff on proper use of equipmentReport equipment damagesAssist in the oversight of equipment preventative maintenance performed by third party vendorDiagnose multimeters and other testing toolsInstall, repair, replace and chemical, paper, and soap dispensersRepair related plumbing valves as neededPurchase supplies and parts for jobsMaintain inventory of frequently used parts for equipment and building dispensersReport and respond to emergency water damage calls for custodial assistancePerform minor to moderate graffiti removalSafely store, handle and dispose of hazardous materialsAssist with snow removal efforts including salting entryways and operating snow blower equipmentPerform related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 OR Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trades ORAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesAbility to lift 80lbsMust have a valid driver's license Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in at least two of the building, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical tradesKnowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions in the trades involvedAbility to care for and use the tools and equipment utilized in the trades involvedAbility to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustmentsAbility to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagramsAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to lift and move heavy objects and to work under adverse weather conditions Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining cleaning equipment such as:Floor Scrubbers and sweepersCarpet extractors, vacuums, and burnishersPressure washers and steam cleanersExperience using electronic work order systemsDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and ExcelCustomer service experience Special Instructions Candidates must apply online at https://www.schooljobs.com/careers/wcupa.
