Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week since 1985, the emergency and critical care team is specially trained in triage and emergency medicine, supported by one of only a few facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region to offer on-site MRI and CT scan capabilities.
