Operational/Technical duties: Monitoring and inspecting contracted work to ensure compliance with contractual agreements with national, state, and local code requirements; Diagnosing and troubleshooting building air comfort, temperature problems, air distribution/balancing/stratification problems, and building automated system (BAS) problems; Responding to calls for emergencies and assisting with standby operations; Reviewing contractor's invoices and approving payment using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensuring that records of preventive and corrective maintenance repairs are maintained in the CMMS; Assisting with capital improvement projects (CIP) by providing prioritized lists of capital building needs to the Section Chief; Ensuring energy saving strategies are maintained and implemented through coordination with the Arlington Initiative to Rethink Energy (AIRE) team; and .
