Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of the construction, assembly and maintenance of all equipment used at water and sewer pumping stations and water and sewer treatment plants; thorough knowledge, skill and ability to weld with gas or electric; thorough knowledge of occupational hazard and safety precautions; ability to trouble shoot and repair such equipment; ability and knowledge to pass a plumbing, electrician and welding test if, the City requires one; interpret service and repair manuals, detect by inspection any worn, missing, broken, mismatched or wrongly adjusted parts; ability to do all types of carpenter work, plumbing new and old, electricians work new and old including trouble shooting; ability to give cost estimates of job when needed; ability and knowledge to use the proper tool to do the job with good physical condition; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
