Participate in and direct crews in a variety of park maintenance duties, including construction, building repair, concrete finishing, plant maintenance, and landscape duties, trimming trees and shrubs, mowing and edging lawns, raking recreation areas, watering plants and trees, and sweeping and clearing fallen trees from the public paths and walkways. The work environment is primarily outdoors, which may expose the employee to moderate to very loud noises, wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat, the risk of electrical shock, and vibrations.
