Identify and assess program risks and issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives Interact with senior management and others concerning matters of significance to the company Required Qualifications: 8 years’ experience in contracts management roles or related experience Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) contracting environment, preferably supporting the U.S. Navy Knowledge of Federal laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies affecting government contracts, including FAR, DFARS, and other agency regulations Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve contract objectives Solid proposal development and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong customer relations Knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite of Applications Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with leadership, peers, indirect staff, and customers Possesses strong critical thinking skills to enable sound business judgement Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with contracts related to manufacturing and/or production Knowledge of P&L management practices and how contracts can influence overall P&L performance Experience working with large federal government contracts ($10 million) Preferred Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) of Law Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or relevant degreed program, or equivalent experience. Planning and executing successful contract negotiations and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals Leads contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications Ensures compliance with all contractual requirements, interprets contract requirements for program and functional leadership, drafts formal correspondence, coordinates deliverable submittal with all stakeholders, and reviews and executes contract modifications Regular and proactive interface and effective collaboration with program, technical and operations organizations in order to provide guidance and direction based on contractual and compliance requirements Demonstrate commitment and energy to meet customer needs with the ability to provide concise and effective communication through presentation, written documentation or email format with different levels of Management is key Meet and engage with customers and stakeholders to establish relationships, understand requirements, forecasts and funding, and communicate accomplishments or issues.
