Direct responsibility, authority, and accountability for the Deviation, Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA), Change Control, and Batch Release Systems. Responsibilities will also include acting as QA liaison to various project teams.  The candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies for the manufacturing, testing, release, and distribution of pharmaceutical products (clinical and commercial). The Sr. Director will lead a team of QA professionals, provide strategic leadership, drive continuous improvement initiatives, provide quality oversight of contract organizations, and ensure the highest standards of product quality and patient safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Collaborate with a cross functional team to define, develop, design, implement, and document a manufacturing strategy for new and existing products.</li><li>Plans and design manufacturing processes for a production facility.</li><li>Produce detailed and carefully planned manufacturing work instructions.</li><li>Design fixtures and tooling to help reduce cost of machine setup and reduce scrap parts.</li><li>Analyzes assembly, fabrication, machining, and other processes.</li><li>Review manufacturing yield, set-up, and cycle times to reduce scrap, reduce rework, identify waste in the value stream, and improve equipment and resource utilization and efficiency.</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to existing production processes.</li><li>Work with suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.</li><li>Participate in material review board meetings and coordinate solutions for identified discrepancies.</li><li>Identify trends and recommend best practices to improve process capability.</li><li>Maintain a watchful and alert attitude toward projects, including introducing manufacturing engineering standards into project team meetings, developing reporting ideas and metrics to gauge the project's success, and in general being eager and energetic towards establishing and maintaining the process design.</li><li>Uphold the company core values</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States.
