Develop and maintain the technical knowledge necessary to safely work with metal powders, lasers/electron beams, high-voltage systems, electrical equipment, compressed gases, vacuum systems, and other AM-related hazards, as applicable to the equipment supported. The technician installs, commissions, maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment; performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; and documents service work, calibration results, and parts usage.
