Partner with Hardware, Systems, and Product teams to define test requirements aligned to product specifications and quality targetsIncorporate DFMEA / PFMEA, Engineering Specifications, and test coverage analysis into product designProduct Lifecycle & Manufacturing SupportOwn test engineering across all phases: POC/Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT, ramp, and mass productionProvide hands-on production support for complex test issues, yield excursions, and systemic failuresLead test readiness reviews and production gate decisions with Operations and CM partnersTest Process & Software DevelopmentArchitect, design, and deploy manufacturing test stations and processesDevelop and maintain test software and automation in Python, C, C++, Rust including:Instrument controlData acquisition and loggingTest sequencing and error handlingFactory dashboards and analytics hooksDrive modular, scalable, and maintainable test software frameworks suitable for high-volume manufacturingStatistical & Data-Driven EngineeringApply statistical tools such as GR&R, SPC, Cp/Cpk, correlation analysis, and DOEEnsure test processes and fixtures meet capability, repeatability, and scalability requirementsAnalyze production data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunitiesFailure Analysis & Continuous ImprovementLead failure analysis efforts across test stations, products, and manufacturing processesClose test gaps and correlation issues across internal labs and external factoriesImprove product quality, yield, and cost through systematic test optimizationContract Manufacturer (CM) LeadershipAct as the primary technical interface to Contract Manufacturers and test equipment vendorsDrive CM test development, qualification, deployment, and sustainingLead issue resolution related to tester hardware, software, fixtures, and factory executionProvide technical direction, training, and mentorship to CM teams and automation suppliersCross-Functional & Executive CommunicationCollaborate closely with Hardware, Firmware, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program teamsPrepare and present clear, concise test engineering status updates to leadership and executive stakeholdersInfluence decisions through data, technical depth, and operational insightWe would love to have you on our team if you have:5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or automation (assembly, inspection, test station design, or factory deployment)Hands-on experience developing manufacturing test software in Python, C, C++, RustBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplineExperience supporting development builds and mass production with global manufacturing partnersWillingness to travel 30-50% across domestic and international factory sitesExperience working with wearables, consumer electronics, sensors, or embedded systemsStrong background in test station qualification and correlation (calibration, GR&R, Cp/Cpk, DOE)Experience working cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, systems, quality, and operations teamsFamiliarity with optical, RF, or semiconductor-based test methodologiesProven ability to operate effectively in a global, fast-paced manufacturing environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills across cultures and time zonesBenefitsAt Oura, we care about you and your well-being.
