Mechanics 1 (Can Line Mechanics) (Can Corporation of America, Inc.) (Blandon, PA): Safely and efficiently operate all equipment and understand all quality issues and defects that may result from the operation; Communicate effectively (written and/or verbally) with coworkers and supervisors; Effectively troubleshoot any mechanical issues in a timely manner; Assess and record the quality of the finished product; Perform all the physical needs of the job as stated on the “Job Analysis” worksheet; Observe and follow all company rules and regulations including housekeeping, safety, quality of work and protective equipment; Maintain clean and orderly work areas; Write and maintain logs, records, and forms; Ensure that changeovers are performed in accordance with company’s procedures; Must be able to start up, restart, and stop the line as well as perform all operational functions of a can line; Must be able to effectively keep the can line operating and identify any quality issues; Understand all material defects and what part of the operation causes them; Perform all quality checks in accordance to company’s policy and procedures to ensure quality production at all times; Have a complete mechanical understanding of the components of the can line production line; Be able to adjust, troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct all parts of the production line for any quality, production issues in accordance to company’s policy and procedures; Be able to complete any required maintenance schedule that pertains to the can making equipment; Communicate all quality issues and equipment malfunctions to your supervisor; Ensure that spare parts and equipment are in stock to fix any potential issues that may occur on the production line. Communicate with your supervisor if any spare parts are needed; Perform other duties as requested to meet business or production requirements or changes.
