Join a dynamic, value-driven, client- and community-focused environment where your work creates a lasting positive impact for the people and communities we serve.Core Responsibilities <ul><li>Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Supervisory Staff.</li><li>Daily commutable travels to various construction sites primarily throughout the Indianapolis metro area, with the occasional overnight and/or weekend work when required.</li><li>Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.</li><li>Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.</li><li>Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.</li><li>Performs field quality control tests of concrete and masonry construction.</li><li>Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.</li><li>Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary.</li><li>Follows Atlas’ safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs</li><li>Ability to follow Atlas' QC plan and SOPs.</li></ul>Minimum requirements:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid driver’s license.</li><li>American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1</li><li>Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain.</li><li>Motivated, career-oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industry.</li><li>Must be willing to travel to and work in the Terre Haute area.</li><li>Works well independently.</li><li>Experience with/within a construction related field is a plus.</li><li>Should be safety conscious, a team player, energetic, self-motivated, eager to learn, possess good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail</li></ul>Technical requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work toward and achieve industry required certifications. e.g., APNGA Nuclear Certification, OSHA 10-hour Construction, etc.</li><li>Basic computer skills.</li><li>Ability to learn and operate specialty equipment.</li></ul>Other miscellaneous qualities:<ul><li>Materials Laboratory, Geotechnical Drilling, or Soils related experience would be a plus.</li><li>Preference to one or more of the following certifications: ICC, NICET, NETTCP, CWI, etc., but not required</li></ul>What you can expect from us The A-Team Experience is our employee program focused on helping our people thrive professionally, personally and as part of a community.
