Join a dynamic, value-driven, client- and community-focused environment where your work creates a lasting positive impact for the people and communities we serve.Core Responsibilities <ul><li>Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Supervisory Staff.</li><li>Daily commutable travels to various construction sites primarily throughout the Indianapolis metro area, with the occasional overnight and/or weekend work when required.</li><li>Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.</li><li>Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.</li><li>Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.</li><li>Performs field quality control tests of concrete and masonry construction.</li><li>Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.</li><li>Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary.</li><li>Follows Atlas’ safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs</li><li>Ability to follow Atlas' QC plan and SOPs.</li></ul>Minimum requirements:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid driver’s license.</li><li>American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1</li><li>Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain.</li><li>Motivated, career-oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industry.</li><li>Must be willing to travel to and work in the Terre Haute area.</li><li>Works well independently.</li><li>Experience with/within a construction related field is a plus.</li><li>Should be safety conscious, a team player, energetic, self-motivated, eager to learn, possess good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail</li></ul>Technical requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work toward and achieve industry required certifications. e.g., APNGA Nuclear Certification, OSHA 10-hour Construction, etc.</li><li>Basic computer skills.</li><li>Ability to learn and operate specialty equipment.</li></ul>Other miscellaneous qualities:<ul><li>Materials Laboratory, Geotechnical Drilling, or Soils related experience would be a plus.</li><li>Preference to one or more of the following certifications: ICC, NICET, NETTCP, CWI, etc., but not required</li></ul>What you can expect from us The A-Team Experience is our employee program focused on helping our people thrive professionally, personally and as part of a community. Entry-Level Construction Materials Laboratory Technician Requisition Number: 2026-1180-06 S&ME is looking for a motivated and passionate part-time entry-level Laboratory Technician who likes working with their hands and doesn't mind getting dirty to join our Construction Services team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a part-time entry-level Laboratory Technician specializing in Construction Materials, you will be essential in examining and evaluating materials like soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Collaborating with seasoned technicians and experts, you will ensure precise and comprehensive documentation of test outcomes, maintain laboratory instruments, and assist with equipment calibrations. Your contribution will be crucial to the success of our projects by verifying that materials comply with the required standards. Your Day-to-Day:<ul><li>Testing and Documentation: Perform and record tests on various construction materials with accuracy and meticulousness.
