In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul both powered and non-powered GSE-playing a critical role in reliable airport operations. Beyond turning wrenches, you'll be a trusted technical resource, mentoring less experienced mechanics and stepping into a leadership role when the Supervisor is unavailable.
This position starts at a competitive starting wage of $18.36/hr plus time and a half pay for select holidays and high-volume business days. While you're self-motivated and able to work independently, you are a people person and also enjoy the camaraderie that's inherent in a tight-knit Gaming team.
Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 5 years' experience as a front-line mechanic in both gasoline and diesel engines, electrical, brakes, suspension systems, transmissions and A.C, or equivalent combination of education experience. Inspect, maintain, and repair the following: brake, tires, warranty procedures, driveline, steering and suspension, electrical trouble shooting, A/C overhauls, and rebuild of engines and/or suspensions.
strong>Job Responsibilities: Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; Move company equipment safely on yard as needed; Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues; Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment; Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery; Complete daily checklist as required; Assure that Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements; Maintain facility via housekeeping duties; Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
