Performs preventative maintenance, repair, rebuilds, and overhauls of fleet vehicles and equipment, including fire trucks, fire apparatus, police vehicles/equipment, vac trucks, trailers, mowers, garbage trucks, saws, generators, and other mobile and stationary equipment; utilizes computerized diagnostic and manual test methods in identifying service, replacement and vehicle/equipment repair needs. Physical Ability: Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
