Work primarily involves preventive maintenance and general mechanical troubleshooting, but may also include component replacement, electrical repairs, brake repairs, refrigeration equipment, lift gates, tires, and collision-related repairs. Under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of company automobiles, trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, and related fleet equipment.
