p>What you'll do: • Lead the successful launch of critical power infrastructure products that meet customer requirements and Eaton safety, quality, reliability, cost, and schedule commitments • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and create mechanical systems considering space, manufacturing, service, thermal, and other design considerations • Provide technical leadership to project team members by reviewing designs, and delivering feedback • Partner with global product development teams to solve problems related to performance, functionality, safety, reliability, quality, and component availability • Develop and support building engineering and validation prototypes as well as support manufacturing personnel during launch process • Leverage in-depth knowledge of industry design principles around sheet metal, plastics, and other manufacturing methods • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills working to design and layout systems while engaging cross functional teams to identify optimal layout while balancing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and long-term serviceability • Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents • Work closely with regulatory experts to ensure design meets UL and other certification body requirements • Identify opportunities for process, tools, and test methodology improvements, and drive those from concept to implementation.
