These duties will include: Adhering to the provider template for scheduling appointments Actually, booking appointments for call-ins and walk-ins as needed Alerting the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing of any scheduling problems or concerns while maintaining communication between the front and back triage area Enters all pertinent changes and information into the registration and appointment systems And maintains a professional, personable demeanor toward patients and co-workers Laboratory Duties: Laboratory duties and responsibilities will include the following: Collecting blood specimen (capillary, venous finger and heal sticks), reading hematocrits, administering and reading tuberculin tests, testing urine, performing stains and culture tests with slides, performing EKG's when applicable, recording test and related forms. Work attire: Clinical attire per personal policy In addition to the mentioned duties and responsibilities, the Medical Assistant is expected to comply with all other duties assigned Education / Training: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program Prefer Certified Medical Assistant Skills / Experience: Prefer 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant work experience, with the ability to perform phlebotomy procedures Knowledge and Abilities Excellent Customer Service Basic computer skills and typing * Excellent follow through skills prioritization of multiple tasks and attention to detail.
