Consistent with Medical Assistant education and under the direction of a licensed health care professional, the Certified Medical Assistant performs the following clinical responsibilities including but not limited to: a) Measures and records vital signs, growth parameters, medical histories, and signs and symptoms into the electronic health record. Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to: a) Processes and communicates prescription refills to pharmacies as authorized by a licensed health care provider in accordance with regulations, policies and approved departmental protocols.

p>Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for long periods of time, is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb steps/stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; smell; manage stress as it relates to essential job functions. This role supervises both clinical and non-clinical support staff, coordinates with providers and departments, and manages patient flow and related systems to maintain a safe, positive environment.

This role supports providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional care to patients with endocrine and metabolic conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and other hormone-related conditions.
