Overview:
Join our team at BrightView Health as a Medical Assistant and contribute to providing high-quality patient care by following established treatment program policies and procedures. As a Medical Assistant, you will adhere to current medical standards and practices while utilizing your medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures in accordance with best practices, all under appropriate supervision.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>PATIENT CARE:<ul><li>Complete patient vital signs, TB testing, and blood draws.</li><li>Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow for the duration of their visit.</li><li>Perform administrative duties to support patient flow as assigned.</li><li>Prepare specimens for shipping.</li><li>Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary, organized work environment.</li><li>Provide input on overall treatment philosophy, treatment services, and patient care.</li></ul></li><li>COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:<ul><li>Communicate with various teams regarding patient appointments.</li><li>Attend required meetings/huddles and collaboration within center team.</li><li>Consult team members on lab testing, results, and patient issues.</li></ul></li><li>DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:<ul><li>Ensure timely and accurate collection of laboratory specimens consistent with federal and state regulations.</li><li>Timely review, posting, and dissemination of laboratory results.</li><li>Complete timely and comprehensive documentation into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).</li><li>Maintain new and existing patient accounts, including insurance and billing information.</li></ul></li></ul> KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView’s patients</li><li>Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients</li><li>Natural problem solver, looks for solutions to best meet patient needs with a sense of urgency</li><li>Team-player, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment</li><li>Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment</li><li>Technologically capable, comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation purposes. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal apply to drawings and 3D models. Computer Skills                                                    Familiarity with CAD equipment, spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, file structure, email and internet security, and basic Windows/Office environments. Physical Demands Read computer monitor and written documentation.  Requires bending, standing and reaching. Sit for long periods of time.  May lift and or move at least 15 pounds. Work Environment The work environment described here is representative of those an employee encounters while working at Dearing Compressor. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the specific job.  The exposure in the office areas are typical and plant operations areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed boots, safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection.  In the plant area, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.  Temperature of manufacturing work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining operations.  The employee is occasionally exposed to odors, airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the manufacturing area is usually loud.  The noise level in the office is usually quiet.
