PCA provide direct support to students in completing activities of daily living, (e.g., grooming, toileting, changing, dressing, escorting, feeding), and provide direct assistance for student to complete daily IEP goals such as communication, functional living skills (e.g., cooking, vacuuming, laundry, etc.), as well support student's behavioral needs as well. This includes transporting students to community based instructional sites (paraprofessionals' driving records must pass a check and vehicle operation is limited to LISD Special Education vehicles).
