ABDs will be considered but must have earned a doctorate before appointment; must hold a master's degree in nursing; a minimum of 5-years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse/ APRN; a minimum of 5-years teaching experience in nursing education; a current unencumbered RN license to practice nursing in the State of Texas; and must meet and have all certification requirements for APRN for their specialty.
