Essential Functions:-Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physician's request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.-Anticipates set-up and needs for invasive procedures.-Assists with inventory/supplies.-Checks for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.-Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc.-Administers medication in compliance with scope of practice.-Documents accurately and completely.-Explains procedure to patient and provides for patient care- including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.-Performs all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist.-Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.-Required to float to all procedural areas.-Maintains a clean and neat work area.-Demonstrates competence in the operation of imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment; Performs basic troubleshooting for this equipment.
