The role provides nursing care for patients with conditions including congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal, kidney disorders, dementia, and cerebrovascular accident. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring and rhythm review, management of heparin, Cardizem, insulin outside of diabetic ketoacidosis protocols, and comfort medications, and care for patients requiring close observation through camera monitoring.
