Clinical responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central and peripheral line care, peripherally inserted central catheter management, blood product administration, feeding tube care, heparin and intravenous insulin protocols, renal failure management, post-myocardial infarction care, pre- and post-hemodialysis management, procedural sedation monitoring, phlebotomy, wound care, and rapid response or code team participation. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
