Typical tasks and/or assignments include receiving and processing incoming mail (mostly medical records), updating computer data systems, merging duplicate electronic medical records, reconciling electronic records, maintaining and preparing file folders and medical records for review by an examiner or physician, providing clerical and medical record support to the Federal Air Surgeon¿s medical specialty panels, providing clerical and medical record support to the various medical certification tasks within AMCD, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Serves as a Medical Records Technician with the responsibility to provide support of the day-to-day operations of the Aerospace Medical Certification Division (AMCD) by performing basic and routine tasks such as receiving and processing incoming mail (mostly medical records) under the general direction of a manager, supervisor, team leader, or more experienced employee.
