Certified Veterinary Technician CVT National Veterinary AssociatesCertified Veterinary Technician CVTSan Francisco, CAAssist veterinarians with examinations, medical procedures, and surgeries • Perform animal catheterization, venipuncture, and patient monitoring • Provide routine and advanced nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients • Administer vaccinations and medications as directed • Perform laboratory testing, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring • Safely and humanely restrain animals • Clean and maintain medical equipment, kennels, and surgical areas • Collaborate with the veterinary team to implement patient treatment plans • Stay current on veterinary terminology, protocols, and best practices. • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and handling techniques • Experience with catheterization and clinical procedures highly preferred • Ability to lift and move animals and equipment as required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Veterinary Technician certification preferred but not required; willingness to pursue certification is expected.
