DoD Certificates and NREMT License: You MUST submit a copy of the following: Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Technician, Airport Firefighter, Driver Operator - Pumper, Driver Operator - Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), Driver Operator - Aerial, Driver Operator - Mobile Water Supply, Fire Officer 1, Fire Instructor 1, Fire Inspector 1, and State of Maryland or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Basic certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) AND a State or National Registry EMT License. Selective Placement Factors: In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement above, applicants must also possess the following certificates certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) in accordance with DoD 6055.06-M upon entry into this position.

You will address the health care needs of civilians after natural disasters or civil emergencies; treat injuries and illnesses suffered by Soldiers through the administration of immediate emergency care and ongoing care; and support and manage medical readiness, supplies, and equipment. Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career with civilian hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or rehabilitation centers.
Must possess the following certifications accredited by the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NBFSPQ) or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC): Hazardous Materials Technician, Hazardous Materials Officer, Hazardous Materials Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Incident Commander. ALL APPLICANTS MUST possess Hazardous Materials (HM) Technician, HM Officer, HM Safety Officer, and HM Incident Commander certifications accredited by either the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NBFSPQ) or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and be able to display and apply knowledge and training from the certification.
