Key Responsibilities: • Provide psychiatric care, including evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent and emergent consultations to individuals with mental health needs • Document and navigate EHR independently • Maintain strict client confidentiality • Participate in the creation of an individualized treatment plan after discussing the case with the mental health care team, collecting and reviewing psychosocial data, medical history, nursing assessment, and other pertinent information • Evaluate patients for the need for a higher level of care, including hospitalization • Provide patient education, specifically around issues related to medications and treatment adherence, and aftercare services • Work closely with Supervising physician to ensure improved patient outcomes and high-quality care • Diagnose and treat patients from different backgrounds/diverse backgrounds in a respectful manner • Document and navigate EHR independently and in a timely manner • Work collaboratively with clinical leadership, billing, and compliance to ensure accurate and appropriate documentation. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for 3-4 hours at a time between patient care and documentation Fine finger coordination required for typing, pressing objects such as utilizing laptop/mouse for documentation purposes Ability to speak clearly with patients and team members so others can understand Ability to hear and understand others when speaking Ability to view computer screen monitor, small objects few feet away Ability to act and move quickly in emergency situations involving patient care.
