REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Experience using computerized cash systems and processing credit cards is helpful; must be able to work with large sums of money and be accurate; ability to cope with heavy workload; excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the telephone are essential; ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision; excellent attention to detail; ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality; ability to deal successfully with a wide range of people; ability to work under pressure of deadlines and competing needs; ability to handle multiple tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Retail Operations Manager and Merchandise Supervisors, assist guests with purchasing selections by making appropriate suggestions, answering questions on products, hotel, tours, and Elvis; process sales by entering correct prices in a computerized sales system through cash, checks, or credit cards; assist employees with discounts and notify appropriate person to approve sale; stock and clean various merchandise racks as required; inform supervisor when merchandise is needed; other duties as assigned.
