The APN functions under a collaborative agreement with a physician and is responsible for ensuring safe, evidence-based withdrawal management, medication management, and coordination of care in compliance with New Jersey Department of Health (DOH) and DMHAS regulations. Prescribe, administer, and monitor withdrawal-related medications (e.g., benzodiazepines, clonidine, buprenorphine, naltrexone, supportive medications) in accordance with scope of practice and collaborative agreement.
