Casey joined WVU Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he held numerous leadership roles, including the vice chair of Obstetrics, division director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, assistant program director of the MFM Fellowship, alternate principal investigator for the Eunice Kennedy-Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network, and interim director of the Obstetric Medical Complications Clinic. Before his time in Alabama, Casey served as MFM division director, MFM fellowship director at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, principal investigator for the Dallas MFMU Network site, and chief of Obstetrics for Parkland Health and Hospital System in Texas.
