Counseling customers and/or Veterans, their dependents and their beneficiaries regarding their benefits; Serving as a liaison between government personnel (inside and outside the organization), representatives of business and industry, trade and professional associations, the media, or the public; Analyzing submitted claims and initiating action to obtain all required evidence to support the claim; Conducting comprehensive discharge briefings to large groups. Serves as intake specialist, ensuring compensation and pension claims are received, established, exams ordered, developed, and properly routed to the designated Rating Activity Site (RAS), Designated Rating Activity Site (ORAS), or Regional Offices for immediate processing.
