Location: Chandler AZ 85286Duration: 12 months contractPayrate: $42.20 per hourCitizenship Requirement: US CitizenWork Schedule : 9x80 BPosition Description:Northrop Grumman is looking for an Engineering Technician 2 to support our Mechanical & Energetics department's Additive Lab. As part of the Additive Lab, you'll be using Fused Deposition Modeling to manufacture components out of polymer materials for all programs. This is a full-time contract position on-site in Chandler, AZ.Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers and post-processing tools, to ensure optimal performance and quality output.</li><li>Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.</li><li>Validate, troubleshoot, and prepare CAD models and build files for additive manufacturing processes using appropriate software.</li><li>Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures for lab processes and equipment.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams to support prototyping, research, and production initiatives.</li><li>Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.</li><li>Assist in data collection, analysis, and report generation for material performance and process improvements.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications for Engineering Technician 2:<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. </li><li>Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to understand technical instructions</li><li>Experience working in a production, operational or test environment.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Good computer literacy skills in MS office and 3D modeling/CAD.</li><li>Ability to support rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime when required.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50lbs.</li><li>Able to work in manufacturing environment, including accessing ladders, stairs, and work platforms. Ability to stand for long periods of time.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Associate's degree/some college in a STEM field and 4 years additional related experience. </li><li>Experience in Additive Manufacturing (3D printing).</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook).</li><li>Proficiency with Computer Aided Design.</li></ul>
