Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Installs, maintains and repairs water mains, hydrants, services, valves, detector checks and backflow prevention devices; digs trenches, lays pipe or taps lines and backfills trenches; Makes minor repairs to water such as replacing dials, glass and screws; Operates power equipment as directed. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to operate, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
