The Suture team at Akron and MV work directly with ED providers to do wound care and orthopedic care, but also assist with Ophthalmology, Surgery, Orthopedic and Plastic Surgery departments procedures. The suture technician assists with (but is not limited to) laceration repair, abscess care, nail bed injuries, dental injuries, splinting/cast removal, and IV access.
