Key Responsibilities: Providing care to critically ill medical and surgical neonates and infants with various conditions including (but not limited to) complications of prematurity, respiratory distress, pulmonary hypertension, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, long gap esophageal atresia, tracheoesophageal fistula, gastroschisis, omphalocele, necrotizing enterocolitis, congenital heart disease and other congenital anomalies. Position Summary/ Department Summary: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), in the Division of Newborn Medicine, is a Level III/IV, 30-bed referral center for critically ill infants requiring complex medical and surgical care.
