The Perinatal Safety Coordinator (PSC) RN serves as a collaborative partner with providers, nursing staff, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary team members to promote and maintain patient safety, teamwork, communication, and a culture of high reliability throughout the assigned clinical area. The PSC is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement efforts that improve outcomes for patients and families.
