Skills required include neuro checks, cardiac rhythm interpretation, art lines, post-cardiac arrest care, ventilator management, chest tubes, ABG interpretation, trach care, code response, critical drip titration, foley and NG tube insertion/care, and IV insertion. Support team includes CNAs, part-time HUC, charge nurse/CPR captain, 24/7 RT, hospitalist and intensivist coverage, MD/DNP/PA residents, tele clerk, on-unit pharmacist, PT/OT/SLP, and nursing leadership.
