<h1>Dispatcher Job Description</h1>Department: Operations / Dispatch Reports To: Dispatch Manager / Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt<h2>Position Summary</h2>The Dispatcher coordinates operators and equipment for emergency and non-emergency towing and roadside service calls. This role manages incoming service requests, tracks resources, communicates with operators and customers, and ensures timely, efficient service while maintaining professionalism and high-quality customer service.<h2>Essential Functions</h2>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.<ul><li>Dispatch operators and equipment for service calls using dispatch software and GPS systems.</li><li>Monitor the status and location of units and communicate accurate ETAs and service updates.</li><li>Answer and manage incoming calls professionally and efficiently.</li><li>Maintain accurate service records including vehicle information, notes, and payment details.</li><li>Assist customers with vehicle release procedures in accordance with company policies.</li><li>Communicate delays, operational concerns, or equipment issues to management.</li><li>Coordinate with team members and ensure proper shift turnover communication.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Dispatch, call center, logistics, or towing industry experience preferred.</li><li>Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><h2>Work Schedule</h2>This position operates on a 12-hour shift schedule:<ul><li>Day Shift: Thursday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM</li><li>Night Shift: Thursday – Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM</li></ul>Schedules may be adjusted based on operational needs.<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>This position primarily involves sitting, using a computer and telephone, and communicating with customers and staff. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 15 pounds may be required. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following numerous and diverse duties and meet the education and experience requirements below.Duties will include, but are not limited to:·       Provides security services twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week (to include Holidays and weekends).·       Patrols and inspects the property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity. ·       Protect customer investments, control building access, deter criminal activity, and perform physical security checks of secure access areas. ·       Restrict facility access to authorized personnel only.·       Maintain an activity log including patrol activities, anti-terrorism measures, fire alarms, and intrusion alarms.·       Capable of interpreting, comprehending, and implementing instructions, standard operating procedures, and personnel directives.·       Capable of utilizing telephone and radio communications to call for assistance from police, fire or emergency medical services as the situation dictates.·       Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude and interact well with others.·       Able to take charge and direct others in emergency situations and show good judgment.·       Must demonstrate good common sense; follow directions and directives from supervisors.·       This position is shift work and will support from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In addition, the Security Response Assistant is required to meet the following criteria:·       Ability to multi-task under high-pressure circumstances·       Proficient in Windows XP computer system·       Conduct roving patrols·       Conduct freight delivery inspections·       Perform FOD (Foreign Object Debris) detection and removal·       Develop a working knowledge of government policy and procedures·       Willing to work in adverse weather conditions·       Working knowledge of ESS (Electronic Security System): CCTV–Electronic Access Control System·       Ability to stand/walk for more than three (3) hours during assigned shift·       Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds and carry short distances·       Willingness to work shift work·       Available for twenty-four (24) hour recall·       Willingness to change shifts with limited notification·       Willing to adhere to Security Response Team procedures and directives to include uniform, personal appearance and courtesy directives·       Able to take, interpret and carry out orders/directives·       Willing to participate in continuing education and training courses·       Demonstrate oral and written (print and cursive) proficiency in the English language·       Must be able to pass a drug test and agree to participate in Precise System’s Random Drug Testing Program·       Position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining the requisite Top Secret (TS) U.S. Security. Further, candidates must be eligible for a Yankee White (YW) U.S. Security Clearance.Required Experience:·       Minimum of three years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.·       Clean Driving Record: a motor vehicle record (MVR) with no more than one moving violation, at-fault or impaired infractions, or traffic-related convictions for 5 years.Required Education:    ·       High School Diploma or equivalentThis role requires in-person support.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance in a reasonable time. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining the requisite Top Secret (TS) U.S. Security.
