<div>SUMMARY OF POSITION: </div><div>Build and perform tests on electronics, electrical systems, and components to determine operability. Performs a variety of maintenance activities in addition to electro-mechanical duties. </div><div>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</div><ul><li>Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning circuits and wiring.</li><li>Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters, watt meters, etc.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.</li><li>Install and activate new equipment.</li><li>General maintenance activities which may involve hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, steam and electrical.</li></ul><div> </div><div>DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</div><ul><li>Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Operate casting, rolling mill, press, and lead pot equipment to produce PowerFrame® grids</li><li>Monitor key parameters such as temperature, flow, speed, and product dimensions</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and product changeovers</li><li>Inspect equipment and parts for quality, ensuring conformance to specifications</li><li>Assist maintenance with equipment PMs, repairs, and troubleshooting</li><li>Handle lead safely, following all environmental and safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, hazardous materials handling)</li><li>Train and support new operators to ensure safe, efficient performance</li><li>Document production data and quality checks accurately</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred not required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills</li><li>Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 40 lbs.</li><li>Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment</li><li>Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirator when applicable</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety</li></ul>About the PlantOur Red Oak, Iowa Components Plant specializes in manufacturing PowerFrame® grids, a critical component in automotive battery technology.
