The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for leading safe, efficient, and optimized operations on shift and will manage a production team of approximately 30 shift employees (Group Leaders, Operating Technicians, Etc.).Our Team The Darlington Dixie® plant has been in operation for nearly 85 years and is one of the largest employers in Darlington County. From the first disposable paper cup to our strong and stylish modern plates, the history of Dixie® is one of bringing people together.What You Will Do<ul><li> Lead team members toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance. </li><li> Establish strong commitments to Safe Quality Food culture and Good Manufacturing Practices. </li><li> Connect individual team members to the overall vision and help them develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to deliver on key department metrics. </li><li> Partner with group leaders and leverage Learning & Development (L&D) and other resources to address skill gaps and build operating capability on shift. </li><li> Collaborate with department leaders, manufacturing engineers, and other support functions to improve equipment/processes and build operating capabilities. </li><li> Establish shift priorities aligned with the site vision and current business objectives. </li><li> Manage shift performance metrics (e.g., safety, environmental, quality, overtime, staffing to plan, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), waste, etc.). </li><li> Work with team members to understand critical hazards and risks to safety/product quality, evaluate the effectiveness of controls, and resolve issues. </li><li> Apply sound economic thinking to evaluate priorities and address operational issues. </li></ul>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<ul><li> High school diploma or GED. </li><li> At least one (3) year of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment. </li><li> Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment. </li><li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and ability to learn other business software such as SAP and ICPAQs. </li><li> Ability and willingness to work a twelve (12) hour rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. </li></ul>What Will Put You Ahead<ul><li> Direct experience as a supervisor of skilled and semi-skilled workforces. </li><li> Experience with training, coaching, and managing people. </li><li> Completion of post-high school education in Engineering. </li><li> Prior experience working in paper and/or food-grade manufacturing. </li></ul>At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
