The position also includes teaching responsibilities within the Nuclear Medicine Program. Additional responsibilities include supporting student success initiatives, engaging with community and clinical partners, assisting with marketing and recruitment efforts, and ensuring the program meets (JRCNMT) regulatory and professional standards. Focus on maintaining an environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute their unique perspectives and where every individual is empowered to succeed within the program.</li><li>Model Professionalism and Ethical Leadership: Demonstrate integrity, transparency, and accountability in all interactions, setting clear expectations that align with institutional values and professional standards.</li><li>Promote Student-Centered Practices: Ensure equitable access to resources, support services, and learning opportunities that enhance student success, retention, and completion across all student populations.</li><li>Engage in Collaborative and Community-Focused Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to support a culture of collaboration, responsiveness to workforce needs, and continuous program improvement.</li></ul>Fiscal Stewardship and Program Innovation <ul><li>Collects, manages, and archives documents to support regional, state and national accreditation compliance for Nuclear Medicine Program</li><li>Develop, manage, and monitor the program budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources, alignment with institutional priorities, and long-term program sustainability.</li><li>Identify and implement innovative strategies in curriculum delivery, instructional technology, and clinical partnerships to enhance program quality and respond to evolving healthcare workforce needs.</li><li>Seek opportunities for grants, industry collaboration, and shared resources to expand program capacity, support student success, and strengthen the program’s financial and operational viability.</li><li>Promote, support and participate in on-going student recruitment and retention efforts</li><li>Process Change of Grade, Graduation Substitution and other academic forms</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned  </li></ul>Holistic Student Supports <ul><li>Routinely interact with Academic Advisors to facilitate successful academic experiences for potential Nuclear Medicine students</li><li>Develop and oversee initiatives that address academic, personal, and professional needs, including early intervention, mentoring, and individualized advising to promote retention and completion.</li><li>Ensure students are aware of and actively connected to support services such as tutoring, counseling, financial assistance, and career services to remove barriers to success.</li><li>Foster a supportive environment that emphasizes resilience, work-life balance, and professional development, preparing students for both certification and successful entry into the workforce.</li></ul>Teaching Excellence and Program Innovation <ul><li>In collaboration with Dean, work to identify new opportunities for program expansion</li><li>Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of curriculum to ensure evidence-based teaching practices, alignment with accreditation standards, and strong student performance outcomes.</li><li>Promote the use of simulation, hybrid learning models, and emerging instructional technologies to enhance student engagement, clinical readiness, and adaptability to evolving healthcare environments.</li><li>Regularly assess program effectiveness through data, student feedback, and industry trends, and implement targeted improvements to strengthen instructional quality and program relevance.</li></ul> Knowledge, Skills and Work Characteristics <ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively with all audiences in verbal and written form.</li><li>Ability to represent the College and division professionally with internal and external constituents to further the purpose, values and mission of the College</li><li>Knowledge of professional development theory as applied in a community college setting.</li><li>Ability to think strategically, to work collaboratively and to make decisions, both collaboratively and independently</li><li>Ability to use data to inform decision-making and planning</li><li>Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and to lead in an environment of change</li><li>Desire and ability to focus on continuous improvement and help lead the N&AH Division through a cycle of plan, do, check and adjust (PDCA).</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul><li>Minimum master’s degree from an accredited academic institution</li><li>Active certification and registration in nuclear medicine technology</li><li>Four years’ post-certification experience in nuclear medicine</li><li>Two years’ experience teaching</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Experience with JRCNMT accreditation standards</li><li>Curriculum design</li><li>Program assessment</li></ul>Salary Range: $64,649 - $80,812* Application review will begin 7 days after posting *

We want your knowledge and expertise! </h5><h5>Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>Nuclear Medicine Tech The Nuclear Medicine (NM) Technologist performs general nuclear medicine and PET CT exams providing the highest level of customer service and image quality. The NM tech also receives, calibrates, logs, administers and monitors the decay of radioactive isotopes following appropriate policies, procedures and radiation safety practices. What you will do in this role:  <ul><li>You will perform and maintain all accreditations for the hot lab.  </li><li>You will create a department on-call schedule for staff.  </li><li>You will supervise the nuclear technologists and is the primary point of contact for resolving questions and issues.  </li><li>You will perform nuclear medicine exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care. </li><li>You will receive, calibrate, log, administer and monitor the decay of radioactive isotopes </li><li>You will provide radiation safety support in the event of a radiation incident/spill  </li><li>You will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.  </li><li>You will record patients' medical information  </li><li>You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete. </li><li>You will inform the patient about the procedure and answer questions. </li><li>You will interact and professionally communicate with co-workers, physicians, patients, and family members.  </li><li>You will maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in Job Qualifications  </li><li>You will adhere to the facility ICARE values  </li><li>You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.  </li><li>You will prepare education the patient on discharge instructions  </li><li>You will demonstrate the ability to perform technical skills and procedures.  </li><li>You will be knowledgeable in the handling of radioactive materials.  </li><li>You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.  </li><li>You will properly measure radioactive waste and know how to dispose of it properly in accordance with regulatory guidelines.  </li></ul> What qualifications you will need: <ul><li>Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine  </li><li>Current registry by CNMT or ARRT (N) is required.  </li><li>BLS required  </li><li>PET CT experience preferred  </li></ul>Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times.
