Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join us at our University of Minnesota - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the day shift with an occasional on-call rotation. Day shift start times can range from 6:30AM - 8:30AM. On-call rotation goes from 4:30PM - 9PM, Monday through Friday and 10AM - 4:30PM on weekends. Up to two Saturdays's per month required. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience. This Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures including PET/CT and SPECT/CT and a wide variety of Research related imaging and therapy in compliance with the Minnesota Department of Health established policies and procedures, methods and standards to provide quality patient care. Responsibilities<ul><li>Verify physician’s order for procedure. Identify and measure appropriate radiopharmaceutical prior to injection to prevent misadministration.</li><li>Confirm and document inventory of all radioactive material used, sorted and disposed of according to Minnesota Department of Health regulations and guidelines.</li><li>Perform and record all required quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct and accurate operation.</li><li>Assess, prepare, record and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to Minnesota Department of Health regulations and department policies. Administer CT specific oral and intravenous contrast materials. Draw and evaluate patient glucose levels. Address as needed to perform PET/CT scan.</li><li>Performance of Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, SPECT/CT and Theranostics procedures on patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric. Provide quality information and care to patients, physicians, and staff.</li><li>Select proper technical factors for each particular study/patient to ensure quality imaging. Perform CT contrast administration using CT power injector. Perform SPECT/CT and PET/CT data fusion processing and management.</li><li>Monitor and survey area for radiation contamination per Minnesota Department of Health regulations and guidelines including proper procedures for addressing radioactive spills.</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li>Must have completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine Clinical Rotation and be Board eligible.</li><li>ARRT NUC MED TECH or Nuclear Med Tech NMTCB or must become board certified within 45 days of hire.</li><li>Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>B.S./B.A.</li><li>1 year experience</li><li>Positron Emission Tomography(PET)</li><li>Experience with Siemens Equipment/Software</li></ul>

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiotheranostics Nurse to join our Nuclear Med-Special Imaging team at our University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. This position focuses on patients receiving Radioligand therapy for treatment of their oncologic disease, in Nuclear Medicine. This nurse serves as a resource and educator to patient, medical and hospital staff within the specialty. They coordinate care efforts for a safe, effective, efficient and patient centered transition along the health continuum. Provides pro-active disease management using evidence-based practices. Acts as a liaison between patient/family, medical staff and others involved in treatment, promoting patient centered care based on jointly determined health care goals and priorities. Schedule: This position is a 0.80 FTE (64 hours per two‑week pay period) onsite Monday-Friday 8‑hour day shifts 7am-4:00pm.  Responsibilities<ul><li>Accesses, analyzes, plans and provides follow-up care.</li><li>Facilitates timely referrals and fosters positive relations with community providers.</li><li>Evaluates and documents status and follows patient progress through phone calls, test results and report preparation.
