Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of human physiology• Knowledge of Scintigraphic equipment, Acquisition computers, and processing stations• Knowledge of Hot Lab equipment Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds• A high level of multitasking, organization, and proactive customer service skills• Must possess sound judgment, critical thinking skills, ability to manage multiple details, tasks, and decision-making abilities under busy and stressful working conditions• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office• Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail• Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians• Patient care and communication skills to deal with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups• Basic clerical skills as needed for filing, record keeping, and documentation• Independent judgment and initiative• Ability to assist in a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department• Age-specific care• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages including EMR, Radworks, and PACS• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff• Appropriate technical skills in Nuclear Medicine• Basic EKG knowledge• BLS upon hire or within 90 days.
