Clinical responsibilities include blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line management, acute stroke management, external ventricular drain management, hypothermia protocols, intracranial pressure monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, lumbar drain management, post-craniotomy care, post-neurosurgery management, and care for spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Interdisciplinary support includes intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
