Charge experience is preferred - Charting system experience preferred: Cerner **Licensure and Compliance:** - Travelers University must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation - License: Permanent licenses must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted - 2 supervisor references required **Additional Details:** - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - Locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions - Floating is 100% required for all travelers - Consecutive Contract Policy: Current or past IU travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment anywhere within IU Health must take a designated break to reset travel eligibility **Patient and Unit Information:** - Unit: Mixed Acuity Unit; Must be comfortable from ICU to some PCU ratios - CVICU: Largest patient population includes CV surgery and Thoracic surgery (CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, VATS) - Patient Diagnoses: CV Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Endocrine, Oncology - Effective 11/30/24, IN RNs are not allowed to work at IU Health facilities, with some exceptions. Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: **Required Experience, Certifications, and Skills:** - Years of experience: 18 months required; 2 years preferred - First timers accepted - Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (NIH is preferred) - IN-state license and required certifications must be in hand to submit - Special Requirements: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management; titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips.
