Required skills include vent/trach management, invasive line management (art lines, CVP, Swan-Ganz), drain and chest tube management, foley management, post-surgical recovery, post-cath experience, CVVH, and CRRT. The ICU unit consists of 17 beds and is supported by a robust team including CNAs, a receptionist/HUC, a charge nurse, a PM ICU supervisor, phlebotomy services, an educator, respiratory therapy available 24/7, a hospitalist available 24/7, an intensivist available 24/7, and an ICU-specific pharmacist during day shifts.
