OverviewRegistered Nurse – Hematology OncologyBoston, MA, United StatesStart date: 11/02/2026Duration: 13 weeksWeekly pay: $3,062–$3,190 per weekGuaranteed hours: 40 per weekShift: 10-hour shiftsSetting: travel assignment in a hematology/oncology care environment with infusion services within a healthcare facilityKey Highlights- Weekly pay range: $3,062–$3,190 per week- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 10-hour shifts- Start date: 11/02/2026- Setting: hematology/oncology care environment with infusion servicesResponsibilities- Perform triage by telephone and in person, triaging patients, families, and referral sources; document encounters in the electronic health record and coordinate follow-up per provider instructions- Conduct nursing assessments including vitals, health history, and medication reconciliation; document clearly for provider review- Manage in-office procedures and tests (e.g., EKGs, PFTs) and assist with procedures such as bone marrow specimens as ordered- Provide port access, initiate IVs, start IVs, and obtain lab draws; perform phlebotomy as needed- Administer injections, manage pump disconnects and vaccines; conduct nurse-only visits for BP checks, immunizations, and patient education- Review laboratory and imaging results, communicate critical values to the provider, and support appropriate follow-up care- Perform patient education and care coordination, including follow-up calls for high-risk patients and referrals to home health or other services as directed- Document all triage interactions and patient information in the EMR; ensure information is available to the provider for ongoing careRequirements- Active registered nurse license- Certifications: BLS required; Chemo certification required; Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) preferred- Experience: 2+ years in hematology/oncology and/or infusion settings with triage duties; experience with port access, IV starts, and lab draws- Telemetry not required- Ability to work in a high-volume hematology/oncology care setting with infusion services; typical patient-to-nurse ratio around 1:6- Ability to work 10-hour shifts; guaranteed 40 hours per weekEducation- Graduation from an approved nursing education program and current RN licensure; compliance with applicable state requirementsBenefits and Support- Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment- Assistance with credentialing and onboarding processes- Assignment coordination and scheduling support to align with shift needs- Ongoing clinical and administrative support during the assignmentFind more opportunitiesFind more opportunities at Healthforce Healthcare LLC: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
