Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; at least one full year of strong intensive care experience; required ability to manage cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilators, tracheostomies, bilevel positive airway pressure, invasive lines, ostomies, general drains, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and intravenous medication titration; COVID-19 vaccination required. Higher-level therapies may include Rotoprone, manual proning, hypothermia protocols, continuous renal replacement therapy, and tissue plasminogen activator; patients requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, balloon pumps, major trauma care, craniotomies, or major cardiothoracic care are not assigned to the unit.
