Under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Perinatal Technician is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care duties for a group of patients, from simple to complex, for the specialty population on the unit or department, under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse. The employee is frequently required to bend, do repetitive motion, hear, kneel, and perform activities that require fine motor skills, reach, sit, smell, speak, squat, stand, and walk.
